Report of change of residence for foreigners / Report of relocation of domestic residence for Koreans with foreign nationality
This is an application for registration by foreigners or overseas Koreans (F-4) to change their residence or domicile according to the following regulations.
This is an application to report changes within 14 days from the date of moving for registered foreigners or foreign national Korean residents who have changed their residence (domicile).
Reporting Period : Within 14 days from the date of moving.
Reporting Locations : The county office, town/municipal administrative welfare center of the new residence, or the relevant immigration office.
Required Documents : Foreigner Registration Card (or Foreign National Korean Resident Domestic Residence Report Certificate), proof of residence (e.g., lease agreement, confirmation of residence provided by employer, etc.), power of attorney, identification of the proxy, etc.
Persons obligated to report : Self, spouse, family members, guarantor, etc.
Failure to report within 14 days from the date of residence change will result in a fine, and it can only be processed at the relevant immigration office.
Due to the amendment of the "Immigration Control Act" and the "Act on the Immigration and Legal Status of Overseas Koreans" on September 30, 2016, the delegation of processing agencies for reporting changes of residence for registered foreigners has been expanded from cities and counties to towns, neighborhoods, and districts.
Issuance of Certificates
Certificate of Immigration Facts:Certification of facts related to the entry and exit of foreigners (if there is no record of entry or exit, a certificate stating "no records" will be issued).
Foreigner Registration (or Foreign National Korean Resident Domestic Residence Report) Certificate:Certification of the registration (or report) of a foreigner or foreign national Korean resident.
Application Locations : County office, town/municipal administrative welfare center, immigration offices nationwide.
Applicants : Self, legal representatives, proxies, etc.
Required Documents : Foreigner Registration Card (or Foreign National Korean Resident Domestic Residence Report Certificate), power of attorney, etc.
Certificate Issuance Fee : 2,000 won (stamp duty).
Available on Government 24 (G24) : Yes (requires personal digital certificate-online proxy application is not possible).
